Thermaltake commenced its foray into gaming peripherals under the banner of TT e-sports, the company showed off some of its first products in the category, a gaming headset called Shock One, a mechanical gaming keyboard called MEKA, and BLACK six-button gaming mouse, paired with a mouse mat of the same brand.

Shock One is a wired, 5.1 channel gaming headset that has native sound processing. The sound processor is DTS 5.1 compliant, and connects to the system over USB. The head-band is collapsible, making it easy to fold the unit. The telescopic mic features noise-cancellation.

The MEKA keyboard is compact, does away with redundant keys (but retains the number-pad cluster), and lacks macro keys, but has mechanical keys for better tactile feedback. And finally, there's the duo of BLACK 6-button optical gaming mouse, and XTra mouse mat from Thermaltake. While Thermaltake isn't new to making input devices, with swanky-looking Xaser Office keyboards, TT e-sports seems like a definite start for the company into this market.

the keyboard looks a lot like the i-rocks KR-6230. Not a fan on how the slash is on the opposite side of the arrow keys. Would have preferred tenkeyless to that.

as far as the pics go. I see nothing appealing about their peripherals. the mouse reminds me of them old cheap unknown chinese brand tri-colour fans (Akasa use to make some) you can pick up at computer fairs. I will stick with Logitech, Roccat, CoolerMaster, Razer & Saitek for my peripheral needs.

Also when Thermaltake is mentioned...one cannot help but worry about build quality reguarding TT products

The keyboard is far from a rebranded dell. Most likely a rebranded i-rock like previously linked. Having mechanical key switches makes it much higher end than the generic OEM keyboards with their dome keyboards.

What happened to their keyboard with a fan on it for your gaming hand?

yeah it's all preference really, I like to stick with one colored themes. I never like multi-colored cases are anything. We will have to wait for reviews to see how well Tt's Gaming Mouse with stands the rest and see it they over price it too...

EDIT:

The wheel on that mouse does look retarded though.

Dell does mechanical keyboards?

Hardly as they are pretty expensive.

+1 to TT for mechanical keyboard..

I have 7G and its fkin amazing..

Mouse is ugly. Period.

Rest? Well, didnt catch my eye too much. I think that Beyerdynamics or Sennheisers are much better choice for gaming and music. :)

I know this is a matter of personal like/dislikes but I find this thermaltake stuff extremly ugly and cheap looking.
I know their stuff isnt shitty and they have good or even premium quality but the looks of that stuff is a disaster.
I mean this mouse... it looks like one of those glowing asian toys you can/could buy on a market.

I mean its obvious people spend more time looking at their mouse and headset and keyboard than using the stuff and having a good time with it. Sorry for the rant, on a serious note, I like the mouse, maybe not the color, but I do like it. Keyboard looks like it is for small folks and fairies and I would have a hard time typing on that.

Poor Thermaltake, I don't think they'll ever figure it out. :shadedshu
