Thermaltake TMG AT2

The Thermaltake TMG AT2 is a cooler for ATI's Radeon X1800, X1900 and X1950 Series. It uses a combination of copper and aluminum to optimize the cooling. We compared the cooler to the Arctic Cooling Accelero X2 and the Zalman FC-ZV9 Fatal1ty. The temperature results were among the best of the tested coolers. Not only performance is great, but the installation is also very easy to perform, in just a couple of minutes.

Still prefer the cooling solution for HIS IceQ3. But what is the point of having an aftermarket cooler if it performs not much better than the stick cooler? Beside from being silent?

I got the Accelero x2 looks like this one beats it in overclocking a bit... but is louder (as loud as stock xt xtx).

Therefore the Accelero x2 is the grand Champion in my books, and since I have the 1900gt that comes with a POS cooler the upgrade was well worth it... and I win! Therefore! I am the Grand Champion! and TROJ@N is a hussy.

Well instead of shooting the air towards the case it shoots it towards the back where the VRMS are so it would probably work better on the X1950 pro's.

About the review............

I think the review should have ati tool`s voltage regulator temp results or some type of temp results for the voltage Regulator . Comparing the stock cooler VR temps, Arctic Accelero X2, Zalman FC-ZV9 at 100% and dynamic fan.

Or at least a voltage regulator temps between the stock cooler and the ThermalTake TMG AT2. As it stands we are not sure if this thing does a passable enough job. So I wouldn`t have to buy a solution like the Vantec IceBerg 6 Premium VGA Cooling Kit/Thermaltake TMG AT1 so I know air is moving at a decent rate across the mosfet area of the x1900/x1800 series.

Thats the only thing missing I want in the future to be added to a Vga Cooling review of x1900/x1800 series.

While the air is getting sucked in, it flows over the voltage regulator heatsink, helping a little bit with cooling.

Given the stock reg cooler is still used and the AT2 has a larger opening than the stock, I would say it should cool slightly better, but I agree that would have been a nice addition to the review...

Hy guys... Y have buyed the AT2 and its great.... Noise?????? around 20DBA..... AND NOT 51DBA... y have a sapphire x1800gto... with my stock coller on idle 53C an on load 74C coller on 73%.... With the AT2 idle 38-39C and on load 49-50C..
