Hello
When using AMD\MSI Afterburner with unlocked overclock= notepad: Added EULA= "..text..." Overclock= "1"....
  • The Afterburner MHz slide bars go higher than stock but now they have zero effect on the card like the Afterburner does not even exist. I can set whatever and the MHz, power or temperature effects won't show up in HWInfo-software or such...So no effect on Afterburner slide bars.
Do I have to remove the AMD Vision Control -Software that contains it's own AMD OverDrive -> Power -> Performance -> "Auto-tune" feature ? Is AMD Vision Control tempering with Afterburner ?

+ If I try other programs: ?
How Rivatuner 2.24c works I tried it but I could not find the basic GPU MHz Clock and RAM sliders ? Where are they hidden ? In that "Power user"-section ? What is "Launcher" ? What is that "Rivatuner Server" program ? Very hard to use.

The last would be Ati Tray Tool which I haven't tried.
Other would be AMD GPU Clock Tool latest v0.9.8 ? -software.

"Maximum Performance" -mode ( In Windows Power saving ) is selected and AMD Auto-tune works but Afterburner does not.

I have read ATI Sapphire Radeon HD3650 DDR2 512MB AGP can go safely to Core=800MHz and RAM=600MHz.
Now I'm stuck at maximum limits of Core=725-750MHz and RAM=400-500MHz :(
What is GPU BIOS updating ?

Windows 7 64-bit ( WinXP does not have DirectX10 so it is not good )
AMD OverDrive's problem is it only goes as high as <750 | <500 max. limits.

How to set antialiasing and anisotropic filtering without AMD Vision Control ?

EVGA Precision does work on some ATI/AMD cards,, i used it to clock a 4570M mobile graphics chip, worth trying if it detects your card.

Just a heads up, you should never be using two different overclocking utilities at the same time. I don't know if this is what you're doing ,but whenever you go from one to another, you want to disable everything from the first before you begin with the second. At least I think I recall reading that somewhere

AMD Vision Control-Software=Overdrive comes bundled with the driver.
It has limited core and ram MHz overclock.
Now searching for a suitable method to exceed those limits.

The 1st priority seems to be Overdrive since it has the effect to change MHz succesfully.
MSI Afterburner does nothing in changing those MHz but it claims to offer more MHz with it's unlocked limits, but again those limits are not working. :( When changing the slider nothing happens in real life MHz. I can put like 1000 | 1000MHz and the settings are still stock 725 | 400MHz in real life.

What is GPU BIOS updating
Do NOT try to Update your BIOS will end up with a brick/ broken GPU

Try the old CCC 8.19 with ATI Tray

Where can I download 8.19 ?
Do older Catalyst centers make a difference in limiting the max. core | ram ?
Tried :
- 9.11 (win7 64), max.750 | 500
- 10.5 (win7 64), max.750 | 500

ATI Tray Tool worked (950|550:love::love::love::love::love:) but it always resetted the MHz values when I restarted Windows. ( Frustrating to set the values everytime when powering ON :banghead: )
So I unistalled and re-installed ATI Tray Tool and now when restarting it says 3 pcs pop-up windows: ATI Tray Tool can't start= "Can't find Atisys64" and "Low level drivers not found", "Disable UAC"...So I unistalled it again. Now I'm unable to use ATI Tray tool software.

Going back to Catalyst=CCC because Sapphire HD3650 AGP 512MB GDDR2 is real kinky on Win7 64-bit. :shadedshu::wtf:
At least OverDrive gives that max.750 | 500 everytime I restart the computer.
