I believe it's AMD's take on HyperThreading making Windows see 12 cores when it's actually 6.

the work they cant split up to crunching units, has to be crunched on their mainframe

Reminds me of Pentium Pro's. Socket 8 with a paltry 387 pins..

We've come a ways... 4 cores to 48! 512MB* to 512TB!

*450GX did support quite a bit more memory, 8GB.
