What are people's opinions on the Razer Nommo? Will be running them or any speakers I get through a sound card anyway so I at least get a small quality boost from that? I've seen only positive reviews so far from both consumers and proper reviewers on YouTube. Or are there any better sounding alternatives for the same or lower price? Not looking for anything even more expensive.

IMO, the best upgrades are secondhand upgrades - Even cheap bookshelf speakers bundled with hifi's will probably sound better when paired with a small amp like a NOBSOUND or LEPY.

The advantage of a NOBSOUND or LEPY is that you can hook up and drive pretty much any spare hifi bookshelf speakers that you have lying around. Ebay a cheap pair of JBLs or bookshelf speakers of your choice that have both woofers and tweeters and grab a brand new NOBSOUND or LEPY from amazon.

Even hifi bookshelf speakers untouched for 30 years and dug out from all the trash in your shed will probably sound better than these Razer speakers and whole setup costs a lot less too. if you dont have any old bookshelf speakers - ask your friends and family I am sure that one of them has a set of speakers from an old hifi thats either broken or thrown away that they dont need/want.

It doesnt look as fancy as the Razer but completely functional, will offer decent sound depending on speakers and save a quite a chunk of money or would you rather pay over the top for something that looks stylish but sounds like ass?
