the experience i have with the 2500k D2 stepping is a stable OC on my friend's machine with a Asus p8p67 with 1.25Vcore 100x42 = 4200Mhz
Don't know about Ecs though :b

He uses a Zalman 10X Extreme and temps barely pass the 50's on CPU and 55ºC on the cores (hot summer days @ Portugal when i benched with him).

he has a CM 690 II Advanced
I'm not an expert on airflow, so I will just learn a bit now

So, it looks like you have all of your fan spaces filled. What if you had the side and front fans as intakes, and the top and rear for exhaust? That's the configuration CM uses for their HAF cases.

Try the fan configurations Irony said, it makes sense.
Then try to tweak that OC for a real 24/7 usage, lowering the voltages only a tinny bit and keeping the 4.2Ghz and see where that CPU takes you under Prime95, since the temps should not go over the 70's
When you find the sweet spot, try increasing the memory performance by lowering the timings.
After that... there ya go! sweet gaming rig :toast:

i never though about that, more like getting much air in and left one take it all out ^^;

Get the front and side fans to intake (blow air into the case).
Then the top fans and the rear one to exhaust.
This makes sense for me, because when the cold air heats it raises, and the top fans get that hot air out! :b

I notice that your case has a little fan behind the CPU socket. You can use that to blow air to the back of your mobo and keep the socket and all the mobo a bit cooler.

i think i will take my case apart tomorrow since it's almost mid-night here and i wanna go to sleep, i am still testing a little more to see how low i can go with the voltage.

yes, My suggestion is that both the top fans should be exhaust, as well as the rear. Then, the front fan, and the side fan(s) should be intake.
It will help equalize the flow a bit, instead of having negative pressure to such a degree, and it will also increase flow over your components. Also, if you lower your clock down to a more reasonable 4.2, it'll lower your temps, and increase the lifespan because of the voltages.

atm i am down to 4378mhz at 1.224v and max 67c maybe when i turn around the 2 fans i got in the top it will be lower i dunno i will test that tomorrow/later ^^

and i lowered BLCK to 101.8 mhz.

I can see the 2 top fans in exhaust helping. What's going on (in my speculation) is that you are blowing hot air down onto your cpu cooler.

they was actually exhauting but i srsly never looked after i installed that 120mm fan in the top over a year go, and now with them both as intake i have down down in max temp according to Hardware Monitor.

After a while it needs to be change , remove the HSF & clean out the old paste & re apply some tim , just a little spot in the middle & let the HSF spread the tim
