So I just landed a great job and have the money to commit to building my next rig. My current build was done in 2011, and it was originally a Dell XPS 8300 that I quickly took apart and upgraded to the following : i5-2500k, 16 GB DDR3 Ripsaw (10666 I think it was), an EVGA GTX 480, 1 TB Internal D: Drive and a 128 SSD. I have built about 15 rigs since for friends and for a company I owned that was a side job to help get through college. Now that I am doing well, and have saved up about $1500 for my new build (I could go to ~$2500 if needed, but prefer not to). Right now this is what I was thinking, if I build now and don't wait for the next gen of GPUs (BTC Miners Grr), I was thinking of a i7-8700k, a GTX 1080 (I have one in a cart with a bundled $120 liquid cooler for $770 total, brand new from a manufacturers site i have used before. I will purchase the best available RAM for the price/performance,and also I will be ordering a 2 TB SSD for $378 that is on sale right now, (micron to run everything, I should mention I do have a 1 TB 7200 Backup Internal HHD partitioned in half for media (porn) and System (stuff to run porn). Jk on all the porn, that is only for some of the space. Now the answer you all are telling me to get to, I would use this for about 75% gaming, that is my main focus, on a 1920x1200 monitor (Dell U2410), with plans to upgrade to 4k in roughly 1 year. Of course the other stuff (PSU, Disk Drive Case, Fans ect aren't gonna end up a bottle neck for me). So for what I want to do, do you guys and gals think I am heading in the right direction? Is this overkill for my needs (I like having the best within reason), and is there anything I should know about the GPU/CPU? I do know about the exploits and all that. Lastly if I say buy half tonight, half in a week. What would you recommend getting now? Thanks in advance guys!

Oh forgot to add, the other 25% would be the occasional adobe master suite light usage, and various software that is fairly powerful but not anything crazy (VLC for 4k Porn)

[EDIT] If a mod sees this, would you mind deleting? I moved the post to a more appropriate thread and don't want to breaky any double post rules. I can't seem to delete it.
