Whats more important for a performance oriented pc? Lower timing (latency) or higher frequency?

Reason I ask...

A while back I bought some memory that was, if memory serves, rated at 2100mhz at a CAS 9. I have to look later, but I believe those were the stats. Now I cant find it anywhere, seems to be discontinued, but I can find some at that frequency with a CAS11, between 2100 and 2300Mhz.

My guess is this memory didnt perform as it should with tighter timings? These are Kingston HyperX modules btw.

Thoughts?

Both will give you better performance, but frequency will have the most impact with newer platforms.

Yes and no on both. Both need high frequency with decent timings to make them worth a damn. It's a balance thing to be honest..
