I don't like to take sides in a discussion like this, but as I said before: I have a factory OC Asus 780 Ti DirectCU II and I am sure that 970 is slightly better than GTX 780 Ti (5/10% specially in newer games), GTX 980 is considerably better than both and GTX 1060 3GB is better than all of them.
I usually don't trust reviews on websites (TPU included), because if you look 3 reviews, you'll probably get 3 different results. My favourite way to measure GPU performance is YouTube comparison with the game running. There plenty of tests there that could end this discussion in a polite way.
