thirdshiftdj,

I got his current IP address and it points exactly to the same physical street address that he was at when I did it a couple of years ago.

I would think that since his IP addy points to his physical computer address, it points to his current longitude and latitude coordinates according to the reverse geocaching program that I used then and now.

I think his girlfriend is lying for him, and I have friends on an atv forum that live in Bakersfield, so maybe I can get some of them to do the local investigating for us?

I can give them his physical address and they can see exactly where he comes from on that street block and they can take some pictures of him at his address. If they will do that for us, we can use that info to send to Bakersfield PD and the IC3.

What about just here on TPU, the people who paid and never received anything should post how much they lost if it's not against forum rules.

agreed. This being said, it will help if and when the police department ever needs to contact the several TPU members that were ripped off.

It was just a guess on the amount that everyone was screwed in... It would be great if we could get some feed back from the Higher beings... FBI, Bakerfield PD, and others..

if the bakerfield PD doesnt help with it, we need to make sure that the proper remedial actions are taken to adjust their views on internet fraud.

Please, save this thread for updates for the people that got ripped off or for information leading to information on how to get this crook caught. This isn't for jokes or comments that don't help anybody.

thirdshiftdj,

Would they do that for us? I don't think his ex gf's sister is going to give anymore info. I also don't want to keep bothering her. I did message his ex gf but she totally ignored me. If you google map those addresses and his fathers aquarium you'll see that they are right around the corner from eachother. So maybe she is lying to us. I found it odd that they were so close to eachother if he "supposedly" didn't live there. I've contacted a few people over at bakersfield racing forums put no one seems to know where he is now.

Also I have the list of people that didn't receive goods and the amount they paid from TPU

Since threads in this section aren't for general discussion, this thread is now closed. If you have any questions, comments, updates to this situation, or need information please contact me via PM.

Let's sum things up. Don't fall for a deal that seems to good to be true from a unknown person. Get all necessary information from the seller (Name, address, phone number, email, credentials etc.) and make sure the information is verified. Be a smart shopper. Hopefully this guy is in jail or about to be. If not, well there are those who believe in karma. I'm quite sure that in this great circle of life, all of the wrongdoings he has caused many of us will be returned to him in some form or another.

With that said it's very easy not to get ripped off with clear thinking, however those who did in this situation let greed blind truth and common-sense including myself. Be smart, be aware and do your best not to put yourself in a situation of giving money to a thief.

Techpowerup's Buy/Sell/Giveaway section is a great asset to everyone that uses it. Let's keep it that way by following the rules/guidelines as a courtesy to other members, buyers and sellers.

Thank you and Happy New Year.:toast:
