TP-LINK, a global provider of SOHO and SMB networking products, unveiled a wide range of products at CES 2012, including the world's smallest router (TL-WR702N), a portable 3G powered wireless N Router (TL-MR3040), a new Network Attached Storage (NAS, TL-NS210) device and a hybrid Hy-Fi router that combines Wi-Fi and PLC technology in a single device.

"Championing innovation and ensuring that TP-LINK is at the forefront of the industry is at the heart of our business, so it's great to preview such an advanced group of products at CES 2012," said Eric Wang, country manager of TP-Link UK. "The breadth of our new products enhance the existing portfolio and reaffirm the ongoing consumer desire for fast, efficient, secure and reliable solutions."

Mini but mighty router solutions for 2012
Smaller than a credit card (6.35cm x 6.35cm x 1.7cm), the 150Mbps Wireless N Nano Router (TL-WR702N) provides a portable, affordable and convenient solution for establishing on any device, a wireless network anywhere. You can conveniently connect to the Internet and share the connection in an average sized room at 150Mbps.

The portable 3G Battery Powered Wireless N Router (TL-MR3040), awarded the CES Innovations Award Honoree, has a long battery life (4.5 hours) and is easily rechargeable. Simply plugging in a USB 3G modem will create a high speed wireless network that's shareable using a USB 3G modem connection at 150Mbps, creating a mobile office or entertainment network.

New Network Attached Storage (NAS)
The Network Attached Storage (NAS), TL-NS210, provides a secure place to store and share all data over a home network. Using the NAS, all devices can store and share files between each other over the network. Equipped with a 1.2GHz high-performance CPU and gigabit Ethernet port, TP-LINK NAS guarantees faster data processing and with its 2-bay hard disk drive, supports up to 4TB of storage and an automatic backup solution.

Eric Wang, country manager of TP-Link UK commented, "NAS technology has grown rapidly over the past few years fuelled by consumer demand for secure storage solutions. With the rise of HD content and digital download the necessity for solutions like the TL-NS210 is only set to increase, so TP-LINK is constantly innovating to ensure we maintain the market leader position."

Hy-Fi in the home
TP-LINK Hy-Fi blends the advantages of Wi-Fi and PLC Homeplug technologies into a single device. This unit is perfect for the connected household ensuring that HD streamed content can appear in one room through a Set Top box, whilst a gamer can be playing live in another using a stable powerline connection. To ensure an interruption-free experience, the bandwidth is continually assessed automatically throughout viewing.

Launch dates for these products will be announced later this year. For more information, visit the product pages of TL-MR3040 and TL-WR702N.

The compact size is nice, but from this description it sounds like its effective range is quite poor.
