The thing with this idea is its massively unreliable on a major scale because not many members other than the regular ones use this feature and even if they do use it. It depends if they can be arsed to do it.

--- At the same time the reward system seems a good way to facilitate promotion of the reactions function. People will start being more interactive and liking each others posts more in the aim that each will member will have a better/higher chance at winning something. I mean you could say that it will basically become 'like whoring' like 'post whoring' but if people are genuinely dropping quality posts or being more active then thats a good thing right???

For instance. I think i dropped some good info/advice in this thread but none of the regulars came in and dropped likes (or dislikes)

But im not fussed about that either way. Its just an example for me to show how 50/50 your idea is. When people drop interact and drop likes = Good. When people dont = System is useless

What I mean is, are highest posters/day majority of winners, if so it could stay like that. It should be random so even low post/day members get a shot.
