TPU GOTY Awards!

I have spent hundreds of hours in Call of Duty: Black Ops for the XBOX 360 and Battlefield Bad Company 2 for PC. the amount of hours you spend in a game increases value not quality. I still think neither hold a candle to Mass Effect 2 and if you haven't played it go buy it and live life.

When I first started I had come from console, so I had no clue what to do (most console players have little concept of squad-play). I was running around being retarded and getting nothing done, hence the extensive amounts of playing time. Now I'm much better, so I don't waste time camping or anything like that.

I agree to an extent, maybe up to 100 hours. But beyond that, if you continue playing a game, its because you enjoy it extremely.

I wouldn't be playing Battlefield since the 1942 wake island demo 8 years ago if I didn't enjoy it.

that map is getting remade for BF3 i think, but im not 100% sure - its just something ive heard a few times while lurking around other forums

anyway speaking of BF 1943 - its retarded that they havent released that game on PC yet - the game was released on console in july 2009 - its now January 2011 - still no PC version.

ah - after further reading - It seems that the guy behind BF 1943 has left EA so the project was put on hold and resources put into higher priority games such as MoH 2010 and BC2/Vietnam.

its a stalled project more or less - and EA/DICE refuse to answer peoples questions reguarding the pc edition of the game.

Its probably not going to come out for PC for a long while

BF3 is more important - they'l probably finish that off first before deciding if they'l bother carrying on making 1943 for PC

Same, thats why it gets my vote. The magic BF has over it's competitors. The fun factor, I mean I havent even played SP. Just MP, and I can't get enough of it. No other game this year, including ME2 had that pull. I had fun with that, and with many other games, but it just wasn't the same. Storylines always nice to have, but I have a library of games with great storylines that I don't feel the urge to go back to. And I play the storyless version of BC2 and have more fun. Story is only part of the equation, I'm more for gameplay.
