Ok I know W1z is hard at work with the TPU app but wouldn't it be cool to have a TPU image hosting app? This would work with lets say androids gallery or quickpic and you can instantly upload pictures to TPU.org and it sends out an email with the link code to the pic to be posted were you want? We all take many pictures with our smartphones and I think the best place this may come in handy is when we make B/S/T threads and we can take pics and upload as soon as they are taken?

Correct me if I am wrong but it does sound cool doesn't it?

YES!!! I have thought about this for a while and seeing w1z progression on the TPU app, He may could integrate this idea in it instead of a totally different app.

Yes, yes sir it would :)

Were we are becoming a world of lazy, an app like this would make us fatter by the day.

What I mainly do with pictures is first upload to dropbox then go to a PC and resize/rename then upload. IF the app acted like TPU capture and let you do that STRAIGHT from android camera gallery or quick pic without the use of a PC :)

SUCCESS!

I'd like this as well. I'm tired of having to take pics, connect the phone to my PC, find the pictures, resize them, and upload them one at a time. And if I want to take more pics for BST threads or whatever, forget it.

Should have added a poll for voting to gauge interest, even if they don't want to post about it;)

Maybe PM erocker and see if he can add one, so that if w1zz likes it he can quick glance at the poll to see if its 5 people that want this, or 500:D

shouldn't be hard. the main issue is how to get the image link from your phone to where you want to use it ?

Maybe you can have the app display a list of the most recently taken pictures, and give each one a "checkbox" attribute so you can select one or a few photos. Then, have the app upload those pictures, and either send an email or PM to the user with those links so they can determine what to do with them at that point. Just an idea. :)

If they can copy it out of an email, than the y can copy from techpowerup.org. that's what I just did..gotta go, breaks over

I think I might be missing something crucial here, but is there already a TPU screenshot app that we can use while gaming? I would love a program that does this:
  • runs in background while gaming
  • allows us to make hotkeys like ctrl+pause/break
  • queues uploads (so we're not uploading 20 pics at once :p)
  • uploads to www.techpowerup.org and saves the addresses of uploaded pics into notepad file
  • allows us to change the output names/types of files

But I'm talking about desktop, not mobile. Great I should have read the whole thread

Android has a copy/paste feature as well.

This link shows the classes for the android clipboard

http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/text/copy-paste.html

If they can copy it out of an email, than the y can copy from techpowerup.org. that's what I just did..gotta go, breaks over

Because you have to take the picture then goto browser then goto www.techpowerup.org then click upload then hope your browser supports file boxes then find the image then click upload then copy paste the link.

Too much work

Needs to be adapted to gallery or quickpic like facebook app has, when you take the image just click the preview in camera the share to techpowerup.org or TPU capture (whatever you prefer w1z) then as soon as its uploaded there is a link in the notifications that when clicked copies the link to your clipboard.

simple as pie (in theory)

what about resize though? I don't know about others but my phone is set on largest setting due to having a big pc screen. Way to large pics won't be right on tpu. even if you take the pic, you'll have to resize on pc before upload or go have to change settings on phone back n forth.

Maybe when you click on share to (whatever) it pops up a little box asking if you would like to resize and if so what are the dimensions?
