Is there a way you could implement (or maybe it exists and I am being oblivions) where we could search for images that were previously uploaded to use them again without having to do another upload?

If the images are stored somewhere it seems like a waste of space if they are being duplicated. Maybe have the option for a member to view the images that he/she has uploaded so they can be used again in an IMG tag.

TPU capture will upload them and keep a folder of your personal submissions!

Ur Phuct?

Really unless you added them as attachment ( can be found in your User CP) AFAIK ur pooched.

A gallery of sorts would be interesting, but I'm not at all sure what it would take to search them. Also I would assume review images are also hosted there, so NDA issues come into play.

That's what I thought.

I don't mean being able to search all of the images uploaded by any member, I mean just being able to see what I have uploaded so I don't keep repeating the upload.

Maybe tie the user name to the image so you could peruse your uploaded images?

I would love to have the option myself, but yes submissions would need to be catagorized somehow.

Have you asked the all mighty W1zzard?

I would assume already uploaded images would still be a wash, unless someone went in 1 by 1 and reassigned them by IP to a user (major PITA) but for the future its a cool concept.

I think this was asked about before and there was no way of searching them, although I think it would be a excellent idea if you could.

I guess the only option would be to use a hosting site like photobucket for your pics instead of uploading them to TPU....but I cant be bothered with them either

We had this discussion before. It was decided against because of the incredible amount of work needed to implement it properly.

1./ The system would need some kind of permissions/ACL. It wouldnt be OK to browse ERVEYONES pictures (many reasons) so it would have to be only YOUR submissions.

2./ So then you would need some kind of login, and each picture would need to also have a security ACL record with it.

3./ And be consistent for whichever upload method you used, eg. TPUCapture or manual upload

======

Probably much better if TPUcapture!, itself, kept a log of what you uploaded and the filename. The you could just browse the log, indeed based on the log, there could be a viewer.

Actually, I think that is totally over-engineering what would need to be done.
When a member uploads their first image, why couldn't a directory be created for their images that is tied to the username, and when they wanted to see them the username would have to match the directory name?

Do we really need military defense level of security here?

What exactly does that search link have to do with anything in this thread?

images are uploaded into daily directories without any link to the person who uploaded them.
there are no plans to change that
