And here we go for our last update for the day, Rosetta Pie Stats for the 10th March 2023!!

And well, here goes for another few milestones and stoners for our day!!

Well firstly, congrats to our 3 stoners today!! Very impressive work everyone!! Rosetta's work seems to be set at a good level at the moment, so if there's anyone else who'd like to get involved, best time to start is now!! I hope everyone is doing well and is OK today??

Been such a great few days for the contributions, its great to even have a small team like us but to be pushing out this level of contribution, its outstanding!!

So as its nearly 1am and so on, I'm going to take leave and get to bed but thank you all so much for the continued support with Rosetta and here's hoping it'll last too!! Hope to see you again tomorrow for another update!!

Hello co-crunchers|stoners.

I got a cruncher up and running not by chance or coincidence. It came out of a holiday budget, holiday I did not take because I underwent surgery.
Nor did I need an upgrade, but hey, scratch the upgrade for shinny new tech and put to good use I did.

Yes it could be a lot better, but in order to keep this going reasonably at the new energy rates, I've clocked and power tuned it down to a decimal point below 110W/h at the wall, costing almost £15 / fortnight (3.3GHz@850mV).

Amazing work everyone and to our two stoners as well!! Brilliant work indeed!! 8 members of the team pushing things along, doing very well indeed, very pleased and happy for our Rosetta stats to be making a decent show for it!!

21st with just 8 members!! Amazing outcome, I'm so very pleased and happy for the team!!

It's great to have you with the team!! Your contributions are pushing us further forward than before, everyone who takes part I know is completely off of their own backs, so whatever you are able to manage, I as a team captain are just so happy that you even return one result! Everything helps and helps the cause, which is why I've never asked for people to hit a certain target, I think its just completely unrealistic...

My moto for this is, do whatever you can and that are comfortable to do so, don't over stretch or go crazy with hardware, do whatever fits your needs and budget and everything else I'm/we, are just happy to have you in the team being part of it with us

I ran around 20 hours bypassing the peak tariff. I refuse to pay five times the base price for a kWh for transmission fees.
This is almost the last day with fairly cheap electricity so I will hand over the cherry pie back to you
I even did an eight hour run on my 2700X, it will show tomorrow and maybe also in two days.

We can't do this sort of contribution without you all!!

See what I mean?? 18th place for just 8 of us!! I reckon we'd be able to get into the top 10 no problems

I think there's enough work to do that if other members wished to join for a bit.....

I ended up replacing the power supply in my main PC to get it up and running again. I also had to replace the hard drive in it so I lost any work in progress. It may take a couple of weeks before I get the other pc running again.

Talked to a neighbor this morning. Looks like while I was out of town for a couple of days there was a power transformer down my block that blew out. I am at the end of that line that is fed from that transformer. Guess it could have been worse, my neighbor lost a bunch of electronics AND his furnace got hit too. No storms or bad weather, just a very old transformer.

Well there we go for a lovely update for Rosetta, over 40 million points total for TPU!! Outstanding work there everyone!! I hope you're all proud for hitting the milestone and I really do look forward to seeing the next load of milestones being passed for TPU!!

I don't know exactly what happened a couple of days ago, but it looks like there was a power surge in my area. Lost both of my crunchers, a couple of tv's and a stereo. I ended up replacing the power supply in my main PC to get it up and running again. I also had to replace the hard drive in it so I lost any work in progress. I'm really sad to hear this Zachary85 Its crazy how much a problem with power can make for us I hope everything else is unaffected!

I’m reducing slightly depending on the electricity price. The 3900X will only run nightly and the 5950X might run a few more hours but when then indoor temperature rises above what it’s now my air cooler struggles to keep it below 75 degrees C which is my comfort zone limit.

Well it seems not only are we breaking our contribution rates for Rosetta for TPU, we seem to be going for biggest number of milestones in a day as well!! Great work everyone, very great work!! I hope everyone is doing well and is OK too??

Slow and steady wins the race I find Overclocking, doesn't really net massive gains and only pushes up temps, power usage and then makes the hardware work harder when it doesn't really need to I did used to overclock my 5960X when I had that crunching, but a 1700X or so will produce as much with less power. A 3900X did even more, was great

I'd like to upgrade a few of the CPUs I have with my girls rigs, I'm not sure to get them a 5800X3D or a 5900X... They don't need the cores and the games they play doesn't really need a X3D either, but more cores for the cash I seem to be attracted too!
