I'm looking to trade a brand new and never used set of 8500 DDR2 Gskill 2x1GB for an ATi X19Xxx card. It can be anything other than the pro. I would also like it to be 512meg but may take a 256 depending on which card it is.

Or 145USD shipped

170shipped at the egg

Ha-ha, IDK - lemme think about it. What are you interested in more, the X1950XTX or a X1900CF master card? I have one coming, but IDK if I need that or 4GB ram (total) more...

Hmmmmm I would think the 1950 because of the buit in memory heatsink. The CF card I would have to think about because I don't know how much that's worth.

BTW my sons school stated this week and I had to buy lots of stuff. Payday would be not this friday but next friday.

Edit:I see that they are selling on Ebay for the same price as the XTX.

And they are listed as the second choice for Crossfire when used with an X1950XTX (X1950 Crossfire Master being the first). Of course, this is hardware Crossfire, not software like the other thread is about...

No a CF card will work by itself.

They say u need a master card with the reg x19xx to run crossfire. But in driver 6.11 They said that you no longer needed to do that.

Ouch... :(

Like I said, I don't have it yet. I just paid for it and the guy I bought it from may not have even shipped yet. I'm very anxious to try it out in the 975X board I got, but like I said, not sure how much I need it.

BTW nflesher87, you can use one of the cards by themselves, as they are basicly an XT or XTX core on a card that has the encoder chip. IIRC I've even seen two Master cards working together in Crossfire............

The X1800Xt And the X1950XTX need a master card and a slave card in order for CF to work ,no matter what cats you use I believe the x1900xtx also needs a master but any thing below the XTX in the in the x1900 and x1950 don't need a master and any thing below the x1800xt do NOT require a master card;)
