AGEIA Technologies, Inc., the pioneer in hardware-accelerated physics for games, and Trinigy GmbH, a market-leading company in 3D game engines, today announced at the GC Developers Conference that Trinigy's Vision Game Engine will be integrated with AGEIA PhysX technology. .

With AGEIA PhysX technology integrated into Vision Engine 6.0 game developers around the world now have an integrated approach to exploiting the world-class physics capabilities of AGEIA with the powerful Vision Game Engine of Trinigy to develop games that feature both stunning next-generation graphics and powerful physics-based gameplay with pervasive interactivity and realism.

Both products will be available as stand alone, however, if used together, game developers worldwide will see a powerful one-stop solution in a true what-you-see-is-what-you-get environment. Trinigy will unveil a preview version of Vision 6.0 at Games Convention '06 in Leipzig/Germany (http://www.gc-germany.com).

Trinigy's cutting-edge game engine middleware is used by well-known developers around the world and forms the basis of more than 50 games worldwide, ranging from first person shooters to strategy and role-playing games as well as massive multiplayer online games.

"Our new AGEIA PhysX integration module is a huge benefit to all our customers., said Danie Conradie, Director of Development at Trinigy. "Adding realistic physics to your game has never been easier. Artist and designers can use our powerful vForge editor to interactively place, play and tweak physics in real-time."

"We are proud that Trinigy has chosen to integrate AGEIA PhysX technology with the fantastic Vision Game Engine 6.0, said Greg Stoner, vice president business development at AGEIA. "And we are excited to be able to offer such a seamless solution for creating pervasive physics that make the stunning graphics possible with Vision more realistic and interactive in next-generation games - this is what the future of games is all about."

AGEIA is still around? I figured they would go away after their Physx card flopped, but I guess not.

The PhysX never flopped, it is just suffering from lack of games using it.
