Developer and publisher Tripwire Interactive today announced that the highly anticipated next chapter in the studio's legendary Killing Floor franchise, Killing Floor 3, will launch worldwide on July 24 for PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), the PlayStation 5 system, and the Xbox Series X|S console systems. Following a delay from the game's original March 25 release date, the development team has been focused on using the additional time to address feedback from the player community. Since the delay, the studio has shared updates directly with fans showing progress in everything from design, artwork, UI and animations. Additional development updates will be shared via the game's official forums and social channels, further demonstrating the team's commitment to evaluating player feedback and being transparent with their progress. Digital pre-orders for the Standard, Deluxe and Elite Nightfall Editions have been reinstated and are currently live on the respective platform store pages.

"Since delaying the launch of Killing Floor 3, we've dedicated the additional development time to responding to the community's feedback, ensuring the next chapter in the much-loved cult action/horror franchise lives up to our shared vision," said Bryan Wynia, Creative Director at Tripwire Interactive. "The support from our fans has been incredible, and with the new July 24th release date in sight, we're thrilled to bring that vision to players not just at launch, but through the continued support of new features and content that is a hallmark of our studio."

Killing Floor 3 is the next installment in the legendary co-op action/horror FPS series. The year is 2091, 70 years after the events in Killing Floor 2, and megacorp Horzine has produced the ultimate army: an obedient horde of bio-engineered monstrosities called Zeds. Now, the only thing standing between these infernal creations and the future of humanity is the rebel rogue group known as Nightfall. This intense first-person shooter puts players in the role of a Nightfall specialist, joining forces with up to five teammates as they battle through a war-ravaged, dystopian future, surviving unrelenting waves of Zeds, unlocking new skills, and building the ultimate arsenal.

Developed and published by Tripwire Interactive, Killing Floor 3 is currently in development and will launch on July 24 for PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), the PlayStation 5 system, and the Xbox Series X|S console system.

The KF3 BETA was an absolute trainwreck. That was in March 2025. They promised to "fix" the game and not disclosed the date back then. To now announce release just 4 months later, I have doubts they fixed anything in such short timeframe. Especially how they ruined basically everything we loved about KF2, it's hard to like this thing. I was excited for all the weapon mods, just to have medic healing darts totally botched and they just hid few attachments for few weapons each class gets behind dumb RNG and collecting garbage on maps to "craft" attachments for weapons.

Usually companies build upon cool stuff from last game, here they just wiped it all and made... whatever the hell this is. They just always have to f**k it up.

The first one was nice, the second one was awesome, but after a while, I've got to ask... why kill the same monsters over and over again across 3 games?

KF2 did introduce new enemies, they have different attacks on higher difficulties, different weapons and it was very fun. KF2 went downhill when they put it on life support and moved updates to 3rd party developer and mostly relying on community maps to make new content. it was fine, but felt low effort compared to their main seasonal events and I kinda lost interest then.

KF3 could be cool if they didn't botch so many other things. Like, I liked the idea of new bosses to increase variety and I love how crawlers can now go on walls and ceilings, but they could just add that to KF2. Or Just port entire KF2 to UE5 and build upon it. Instead they scraped it all and made it worse, which is why we were all so outraged over it.

imo the first one was awesome and the second was a huge dissapointment.

The new monster designs....urgg just so generic to see the fleshpound and scrake get turned into hulk fleshmonsters.
Also same for Patriarch.

And the focus on microtransaction stuff is just....idk it pretty much instandly wasnt it for me, also iirc the strategy of the first game was gone and the humor it had.

Nah. I think I'll wait a year to buy it. The beta? A mess. KF2 does it well enough for now. I expect the game to be review bombed unless it hasn't improved at all.

What I liked about the second game is the soundtrack. I've been trying to find Demon Hunter on a live show ever since, but with no luck. Are they even playing?

I also liked the addition of bots. I mean, they added bots with the second game, right? My friends aren't available for a match all the time, and I've always found playing with strangers a bit meh. Most of them only play to fool around, or to tell others how bad we all are compared to them.
