Hello, new on RBE forums old timer for hardware.
Got this issue here with Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 (X58) board that no matter what version or under windows to dos I try to flash an ATI/AMD video card DeviceID is never changed. I've tested 3 totally different cards HD3650, HD4870, HD5850 but no matter what I do BIOS device report screen just reports original DeviceID while flashing to another rom with another with DeviceID.
I do understand this might belong to ATIFlash forums somewhere on this earth (couldn't find any source where the proggy was made).
Information:
* All cards are reference cards
* There are no other GPUs on machine(s)
* Command run to flash:
1.
1.
2. and full power cycle.
4. I printed:
and GPU BIOS is in just fine and correct, but
is not correct and neither is BIOS reboot.
Would anyone here have any suggestions ?
(Do I need to start patching motherboard BIOS too or what am I missing here? figured, if an GPU BIOS is updated ex. HD5850 to HD5870 DeviceID cannot be read by Motherboard BIOS from GPU BIOS but instead somewhere else or perhaps registered cached (which I tested by overriding the Board BIOS which didn't work).)
