arctic clean is the better than alcohol, no residue, etc. I found it to be the best cleaning solution.

Tubbing alchahol wont leave a residue.

Laqure thinner wont either. And im willing to bet both work equally as well as any "sold" product.

i heard otherwise, in fact i remember reading about it somewhere, arctic clean was the top recomended stuff. I'm not saying that rubbing alcohol is a bad solution, its not, just that AC stuff is the best when it come to cleaning your chips.

Might be, best thing i have foudn to date to clean them was Tolulene :D but i usually use laqure thinner, and im willing to bet there would be no diffrence betweenusing that and the arctic clean stuff.

How much does this stuff cost anyways?

The first bottle of Arctic Clean is essentially Goo Gone, the second is essentiall 90% Rubbing Alcohol.

So I just buy big bottles of Rubbing Alcohol and Goo Gone, and use those.

That is what the 90% Rubbing Alcohol is for. :)

Definitely a great product. I bought two large bottles when it first came out and loved the stuff, and one day I was working on a machine and I had run out of the first one(I always seem to need a little more of the first than the second to dissolve the thermal paste). So hopped online to see what else was good, and someone suggested Goo Gone, so I use that since I had to get the machine done that day. It seems to work just as well as the first bottle of Arctic clean, it even has the same fruit/orange smell :).

Eventually, I ran out of the second bottle, and started using rubbing alcohol to clean the surface after the Goo Gone(because the Goo Gone definitely leaves a residue if you don't).

I just never got around to ordering some more Arctic Clean, and I probably won't since it sells for $6 for two 1OZ bottles, and I get an 8OZ bottle of Goo Gone for $4.50 and a 16OZ bottle of 91% Rubbing Alcohol for $2.

Plus, the rubbing alcohol is an added bonus to have when I cut myself working on the computer(and I seem to always cut myself whenever I open a computer :)).
