Tuniq Tower too heavy for a naked CPU?

Benchmark Scores 2cm mark on bench with a razor blade.
I have been messing around with the thought of running my old X2 4800+ without the IHS under my current cooler.
Just wondering if it will be too heavy on it....

Opinions?

cut an eraser from a pencil (new eraser) with a razor blade to make shims.

Yeah that was my main concern.
How to keep the cooler level and not crush the core.

Never thought of using an eraser but yeah that would do the trick.
Did some research and it appears people have used the old Thermal take Big Typhoon on these chips naked, which are a bit over 800g.
Since the Tuniq Tower is pretty much the same with a fan installed I would say it will be okay.

Should update in the near future with heat comparisons if everything goes to plan.
