Bought a game 100% off and it asks me for activation key. Only serial was supplied (game didn't even ask for that). Contacted support a week ago and so far they've asked for dxdiag and thats it.. ..so not jumping up and down for 50% offer :p

Anyhow, hope the games that you get work for you, seems like a nice deal.

edit: well got a response just now, so though I'd share it

Status: Solved

Unfortunately, we do not have access to information needed to resolve this issue. To contact the correct support department, please use the email and/or web address at the bottom of the email that you received when the game was purchased.

First thing I did was contact ubisoft shop and they said to contact technical support (above).

Thank you for contacting the Ubisoft Store.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, we are unable to
assist you with technical support issues at the Ubisoft Store.

Yeah, I've got a ticket with them on the go for the key they gave not being the proper format for the installer. Agent admitted they would need to recode the installer, and then re-up it to digitalriver. Which means it will take days, if not weeks, for that to happen. They also refused to admit it was thier fault.

OnBoard, pick up the phone and call 'em.

OnBoard, pick up the phone and call 'em.

I hate talking on the phone + it would be abroad & expensive + game was free from sapphire club + I wouldn't probably even like 'Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2' :p I'd ask a refund, but that doesn't do any good  Maybe they'd give me 19.95€ voucher, as that's what the game cost normally, if I'd begged enough, but uninstall it is :)

Heh, I suppose you really had nothing to lose in the first place, however, I paid for the titles I am having issues with.

I could have received a refund, but I'll give 'em a chance to fix it first, becasue otherwise, everyone else may be faced with the same problem.

It actually gave me a good laugh. When I explained the problem, the agent was speechless for a moment. Then I could tell he thought maybe it was my error...but a simple screenshot showing that I wasn't off my rocker was all that was needed for them to look into it.

Anyway, RaPiDo987, thanks very much for saving me some cash!

Edit: I had the same error. I ran the patch that was in the same download file and then started the game as an admin. It then asked me for the serial and not the activation code. Worked great.

Hmm..i seem to recall an error msg relating to a patch...and look..it works now!

I guess I'll have to inform support as to what caused the problem! At least I know it wasn't just me!
