well putting it into context: how many of those things are native 5.1 audio?

1. games - yes
2. music - no
Films - depends. if we're talking 700MB AVI files, they're only 2.0

so a 2:1 would win 2/3. And a 2:1 unit would be better for the space i have, plus more punchy.

Thanks mussels, i have arrived at my descision haha. The 2:1 unit will be space saving + im sure music will sound better!
