Unable to connect on any Windows but Linux

Hi guys.

As From my post on General Nonsense Thread it is come clear to me that this MB is complete trash. In windows XP or any other version I'm unable to connect to the network but on Linux MINT I can just fine and even the sound works

I looked up THIS but no help at all

Which TP-Link adapter do you have? What's the type of wireless network (b/g/n/ac)? What encryption are you using(WPA/WPA2/WEP/none)?

I solved it. Just downloaded the netgear driver and all is good. Just my G'Pa isn't good with the changes that MS has made. He's old and I understand that

Well, even if it's your grandpa, I'd get him off WinXP as soon as possible. My stepdad is 69 and he transitioned from XP to 7 and from 7 to 10 no problem. Even agreed to get rid of his 20y.o. laptop in favor of running old DOS/Win9x games in a VM.

P.S. And he's about as far from being tech-savvy as I'm far from being an astronaut.

Yeah he's the one that got me in Tech with his P1 133mhz 32mb ram so I can't just leave him

So I sent a message to my G'Pa saying I could upgrade the cpu to a 64 and not just a old 32 and I was surprised it was a 32 on a P4. Just a 64 would turn things around

Currently I have windows 7 and it works fine. I told him I could have XP as a virtual machine so
