I own one of these adaptors (T8E) and despite official Win10 support from TPlink, the official drivers wont install with device manager "device cant start" errors
So, after a lot of digging i found a combined generic driver for them that doesnt seem to be posted widely around the net (since TPlink erased their forums)

This driver works fine in Win 10 1903 on my T8E, getting 1Gb sync speeds, and 70MB/s (550Mb) transfer speeds over wifi

(Half my reason for posting this is so i dont lose the damn drivers when i format in the future, lol)

I bought this bugger (T8E) donkey years ago and back then it was working flawlessly. It was a temporary solution until i got my connection sorted via hardwiring so the T8E has been left unused for many years.

Recently tried hooking it up to another build without success. The TP LINK driver (Archer T8E_V1_151028) sourced from https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/archer-t8e/#Driver doesn't work. Well it works but the connection is really poor with ~1mb transfer and regular cut offs. Without this driver, Windows fails to recognise/support this device (which sucks!)

Your above solution was downloaded but there was no executable file or am i missing something? I see its a old post... any further developments in the driver department?

Forgot i'd even posted this, but used the drivers plenty of times over the past few years. Keep getting jobs fixing clients wifi - they're buying these adaptors new in stores and they STILL don't have any working drivers available for them.
