I'm wondering one thing, my sister bought a netbook that comes with Win8.1 preinstalled. But the thing is, laptop hasn't arrived yet and update to Win10 deadline is already over (at least officially). It was from an old stock, but it was the only one that was small format and had classic 500GB HDD instead of just 64GB eMMC SSD. She needs it for photo editing on the go and 64GB just wouldn't cut it at all. She needs 500GB for photo dump from memory card and basic editing in photo editors if needed.
Any info anywhere how Microsoft treats such devices? I couldn't possibly update it before because it was not in my possession, but it was also the only device that still fits the price range and specifications. Does this mean it'll be stuck with Win8.1 ? Device should arrive sometime next week.
