Upgrade advice needed.

what should i do, i fancy an upgrade?

i can get a QX9650(182pounds) or a Q9450 (130Pounds)

or

get a AMD 770/785/etc keep my ram and get a new phenom x6/555be/etc then the new zosma when it comes out

or

wait a bit?

What do you do with your computer? I think upgrading to a quad is in order, but if you are only going to use it for MS word, forget upgrading.

Actually I would go for a better graphics card. Between the two processors though, I honestly don't know which to choose.

are you red camp or green, 5870 ,5850 , NV260, fermi?

i do only game @ 1280 * 1024

Currently on the red camp. May change once Nvidia starts to show me good wares though. My pick would be 5770, it pumps out enough fps for almost everything you throw at it at that resolution.

Why not go for Q9550? Also at that resolution you wont see any difference in frames between a 8800gt and a 5770, except for dx11.
