Holly shit, i have never seen anyone upgrade from a 2007 year top end dual GPU setup to a modern 2016 year mid range. This is BIG respect from me to the loyal fan of SLI 8800GTX! In fist half of 2007 when i had a piece of shit 7300GT, i remember someone told me about having a SLI 8800 Ultra setup, i was electrified and horshacked more compared to nowadays people having SLI GTX1080 Ti setups.

Check if your mobo supports Legacy Mode on PCIE.
If it does, then you are good to go on the 1050 or 460.
I did a video on youtube with a 460 4GB and it booted fine on my I5 750 with my old MSI mobo with Legacy although Sapphire clearly states that you need UEFI BIOS Mobo for it to run.

He's already got it up and running.

Update: I ended buying the MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti DirectX 12 GTX 1050 Ti 4GT OC 4GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready ATX Video Card for $129.99 after $15 rebate. I considered the RX 470 but I went with nvidia out of sheer familiarity with the brand, so nothing against that recommendation fellas. Install was straight forward. I had an initial crash but nothing updated drivers didn't fix. It's definitely quieter on boot-up that's for sure. It used to sound like a jet taking off when I would boot it up. Big thanks to everyone for the help.

Next upgrade will be monitor. Two monitors or large curved one? Currently I have a 24in monitor (22in screen). Anyway, thanks again I have to go get that rebate now.

Get 1050 and 1050ti.

Nuff said. Not sure whether a UEFI gpu will boot on that mobo though.
It's the other way. A legacy video card migh have difficulties on UEFI boards without CSM

I appreciate the help. I'll be going with the 1050ti and see how it goes and post the results in case anyone else is following along.
We would like that very much. A comparison between old and new card in a few benches would be nice.

I remembered to do a benchmark midway through taking out the second card, so I apologize but there won't be one for the dual 8800gtx :( but I will do one with the 1050ti as soon as I can.

If you're in the US @ajadoniz , and want to part with them 8800GTX's, shoot me a PM! I'd be interested in em for my nostalgic collection. :p
Just to make you a bit jealous, I've got an XFX 8800 GTX and two 8800 Ultras. :D One of them is an Asus with the GTX cooler, while the other is a BFG with the proper offset fan Ultra cooler.
On top of that, I've recently got their little brother, an XFX 8800 GTS 320MB for the princely sum of £20 off eBay. The thing looks like new, too.

Those cards worked in SLI too on Windows 7 (this is before W10 was released) although it was quite glitchy.

I did actually have three of them bought at different times off eBay for my collection, but couldn't resist selling them all for a profit at the time. Kinda miss this old bruiser.
