Hey guys, I have just noticed that the 6870 is released and they are going for really good prices and are nearly on par with an 5870. I was wandering if I would see a big jump in performance increase from my curretn 4890? And will my PSU be able to handle it and would it be any quieter or cooler?

With your current res, newer games will give you a bump in performance. Older games, give it a bump in AA.

It will definately give you a performance bump, and it uses less power than your 4890. If you have the cash i say go for it. You will not be dissapointed.

There is nothing wrong with your current card but a 6870 is a good size jump in performance.
