I have HyperX Furt Black 2 x 8GB 3200mhz CL18 and I wanna upgrade my ram. I wanna upgrade to 24GB (money matters, maybe even 32GB but it's double the price here)
Btw if it is important, I have Ryzen 5 2600 on ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING motherboard.
Do i need another kit of 3200mhz CL18 or i can buy with other latency, CL16 for example, cus somehow it is cheaper then CL18 here?
Can I buy one more stick (so I'll have 3 ram sticks) and my memory will still be in dual channel or two more sticks is better?
And finally is it okay to mix it with other brands?

First find out how much RAM you need; run what you want, see the RAM usage and then decide.

I know that I need more, that's why I'm asking these questions. I'm almost positive that 8 more gigs will do the job, but maybe I'll go to 16 more.

You can't run 3 sticks in dual channel, so you will loose performance if doing so. So either go 4 x 8gb, or 2x 16gb.

that'll run 128-bit on 2x8gb and 64-bit on the 8gb stick
and it seems it runs fine
only way he gets negative scaling is when he's mixing size and speed in one channel,3 sticks of same type run fine

and it's best to get the same sticks

Nowhere in that video is a 3 stick configuration being used. Check your facts before you post!

Also, the guy has no clue how to properly optimize ram and set proper timings. Just look at his b-die results in aida64 and the latency he gets...

Since no one answered this important question;
Buying different memory sticks is fine, but you have to run them at a speed and timing setting supported by both, which means in worst case you have to fall back to a much lower speed, probably a common JEDEC profile (perhaps 2400 or 2133 MHz).

The easiest is to buy identical sticks, or replace all of them.
