Upgrade: What should i choose?

going to spend at least $400 when i get the money

Here's what i got

HIS 4850 1GB

Rosewill 750W or SeaSonic 550W Note: I may get another 4850 along the road. Will a 550W cut it?

AMD Phenom II x3 720 (Yes, i will overclock this baby)

More Thermal Paste Linky

any other suggestions would be awesome!

You should get a more reliable PSU brand(OCZ, Corsair, PP&Cooling, Thermaltake etc.) I would also go with a 600w or higher PSU for crossfire 4850's.(plus your OCing the CPU)

Its a nice system overall tho.

Xclio is not corsair but is not rosewill either. I think that 650w from them should be enough for crossfire 4850.

Get the psu which will allow to get 4850 later and thus cheaper.

this one will do Fine from PC & Cooling Link they seem to have a great Rep.

Corsair isn't cheap. they are good but their PSU's can be $$$

What is wrong with rosewill? They make qaulity powersupplies? They are also very reliable. I have owned them and I have friends who do too. Going strong for over 2 or 3 years. One has a 650w with 2 4850's and one has a 600w with an overclocked amd phenom II and a gtx 260 overclocked with no problems at all. Both of the PSU's were bought in early 2007. Very stable.

nah, i've had mine for over 2 and haven't had any issues. still going strong. i may go with the Rosewill i picked out. just that the reviews don't look to good on the 2nd and 3rd pages.

Rosewill isn't a absolute bad company, but there are alot more reliable PSU companies where there products are much more trustworthy.

PP& Cooling is one of those reliable companies.

I used to own the 600w one but I sold it to my friend when I upgraded. That was all I used to buy until I wanted to get a single 12v rail PSU. Believe me they are good power supplies. Stable voltages and absolutely amazing tech support. When You email them they will get back to you the next day or if it is early enough in the morning they will get back to you later that day. They are very fast. I just tested it out to see how good of tech support the company had. I have tried a few times and all of them were very successful and quick responses.

EDIT: What I am asking is what makes them unreliable and untrust worthy to the next company? I don't get why you are saying this..

Like i said, i am not saying they shouldn't be trusted, but compared to other quality PSU's they are near the bottom, im not saying you cant pull out a couple that work, But other companies have proven them self's better in the market.

Oh I see what your saying now. Sorry lol. Yeah rosewill is just stuck down on the bottom because they are known for making low end budget components. Really though they are very good quality and are relatively cheap costing for what you get. I like rosewill alot and they are a very good company in my opinion. They aren't corsair or PCP&C though but they are good.

Ya they are a good company, i just don't want him to be going with the bottom if he has the cash to go for something in the top end range.

I have been using the chrome(silver) version of that psu for 18+ months now Not 1 single issue,it's been absolutely perfect
