What would you think will be the best card which will match this CPU without slowing down the performance? like the best fit for the current specs. Maybe the RX460?
I am asking because i do not intend to change the CPU anytime soon and i want to maximize what i already have.

Overclock it, but befor you do just run it stock to get a feel for it.

i think what Nabarun means is dont go lower on the gpu just because of a bottleneck.
buy the highest card you can effort.
so if you have the money take a amd rx480.
some games need more cpu power and some more gpu power.

Actually I meant that's not a bottleneck at all. Any decent quad-core CPU with a fast-enough PCI-e lane can't be a bottleneck for any of the 1080p-oriented decent cards. And even if it was, I'd still discourage purchasing the 460 or 1050. Because on-board / in-cpu graphics are good-enough these days. An RX 480 will still be a good-enough card 3-4 years from now, by which time our Op may have upgraded the system.

Wow Kanan! You really have some issues. From where I see it, he does have a very decent cpu - even if it doesn't support pcie-3.0. Sure, it would be nice to have that, but getting a shitty gpu to "match" that it the shittiest idea of all. And just because it's pcie-2.0 doesn't mean every game will perform at half the FPS. Doesn't work that way. If you find some time in your busy trolling life, do a google search on the "bottleneck" thingy. It's a very old story and many experts have conducted very thorough tests to determine the effect of pci-e bandwidth on actual games and even some benchmarks. And next time read the entire comment before replying.

Look at my system. I am also gaming on PCIE 2.0. And as long as I see only 30-50% CPU usage in my system, I'm not going to replace all the hardware for PCIE 3.0.

Yeah, but if he has to get either a cpu OR a gpu, I'd go with a good gpu and upgrade the cpu later when there's $$$ in pocket. And when I do that, I don't wanna get stuck with a shitty gpu which is what affects the gaming experience the most.

IMHO, the RX 460 is just barely able to do what you need. Granted, they're $100 cards (2GB). That's not the way to buy a GPU.

I stand by my recommendation of a RX 480 (or 470). You will be better served in the long run.

There is a reason why this card only costs 70$:
- It needs more power then the RX 470 with a lot less performance
- No Direct3D 12 Async Compute
- No Freesync
- No GameDRV
- No Trueaudio
- No long term support
- Etc...

If he buys this, he will have to buy a new one in 6-12 months. And I think he's looking for a more long-term solution and not a quick fix.

Get an RX 470. Your CPU is more than powerful enough to drive it. And no, you don't need 16x 3.0 PCIe either.
And VRAM is over-rated, WAY too over rated. Anything with 4 GB VRAM is more than sufficient to run ANY game. The core has to be fast enough to process what is in the VRAM, it is not necessary that everything be loaded into VRAM at once. You will not see crashes or slowdown when you run out of VRAM, check some review which compare same card with different VRAM config, you'll see the difference.

Get the 470 4GB, and more memory.

Save up a good chunk of money for a future upgrade for everything.

Its like a 290 VaporX vs a 460/70 Nitro- 290 is a big heavy card but it blows performance out
