Maybe your UPS is configured to shut down in 90sec, mine can last for 16min, but i configured to shut down in 2min. My UPS connects to the pc via USB.

Without knowing the brand and model of your UPS their is not much we can do from here. It's like going to the mechanic without the car and asking: hey my car should run for 5 hours but stopped after 15min what's wrong?:p

I found a link to your UPS manufacturer: http://www.intextechnologies.com/we...omputer Peripherals&subcat=UPS&subcat1=600 VA

I don't see a link to download a manual, so if your UPS came with a manual check for any useful info. From the technical specifications listed in their website it seems that tour UPS cannot be connected to the PC, so you cannot configure anything.

Again my guess is that A)the battery is to old (in my UPS it has to be replaced after 3 years), or/and B)it's failing, or/and C)your PSU efficiency is to low and consuming more than what your UPS is rated for, or/and D)your UPS is too weak (you know sometimes they lie and say something can last for 15 min or is rated for 360w when in fact can't).

to fix A) buy a new UPS or battery
to fix B) buy a new UPS or battery
to fix C) buy a new UPS or PSU
to fix D) buy a new UPS

Been thinking of getting a UPS myself thanks to a constant rash of power outages. Does anyone here have UPS recommendations? Don't think I'd like to spend more than $150 on this.

Thanks in advance!
