It's pretty decent at MT though and at least stock it does around 160w which any decent aio/air cooling can handle. While I'd probably take a 5800X3D over it for gaming it's still much better overall than a 7700X/7600X unless you pair them with 300 usd DDR5 which currently makes them a terrible value.

The only bummer is the dead platform... I think I'd still prefer the 13700k just becuase if necessary I could disable E cores and still have 8 good cores.

keep in mind, W1zz leaves out 1% and 5% lows in his reviews. if you look at reviews for those numbers, raptor lake decimates AMD across the board including the 5800x3d, other than a couple outlying games like Factorio, where the x3d dominates, but vast majority of games its impressive how much better the 1% and 5% lows are on raptor lake, which translates into overall smoother gameplay experience in a long gaming session.
