$16?! Well, if they were a quarter of the price, maybe. I can easily get one of those chargers powered by USBs, they are very cheap.

see I only use usb charging out of convenience, for a phone when i'm sitting right next to it, etc- or when travelling. but even traveling there are better options than using a port per battery for hours on a laptop - limited USB as it is.

I like that tech is advancing, always - but i honestly find this a bit useless.

I charge my phone at work and at home using USB.
Seems like this would only be useful if you were going to a LAN party and brought along a couple of spare batteries for a mouse or keyboard or something.

Yeah, but how many people will fork out $32 for a pair of battries? I would sooner buy a wired mouse/kb for backup...

Really great idea. But for the price, I'll stick with a normal charger and higher capacity. Though some of the best AA NiMH batteries I've owned are only 1300mah.

I wonder why they haven't (yet) made any AA and AAA cells based on Li-ion or Li-poly technology. Just NiMH...

Tech is advancing and this summer I forgot what company it was they will be releasing a charger that charges USB devices and gets it energy from radio waves that are all around us.

Its basically free energy... on a small scale. It will cost $30 or $50 to buy.

I bought a USB battery charger that came with 2 batteries for $10 or so... I would rather have that than this thing.

It worked back then by plugging into laptops...

When I need them charged I plug them into my pc or even my hub. No need to look for a wall charger any more. They are awsome in the Xbox too, they plug right in the front! Then when you need them they are always charged.
