Yes, that's a good deal for a well-engineered GPU still under warranty. You will see a big jump...I did when I had my 480, upgraded from a 280x.

Which one is it ? Card my be still under warranty, but doubtful it will be transferrable to you. But it's a safe bet that whatever they cost today, will be cheaper still when 2xxx series is on shelves.

Assuming all is well with it, hell yes. That's a great deal. I just snagged a 4gb for $20 more and I thought that wasn't bad! 580 is a great GPU, the only reason it's not talked about is because it's a lot less power efficient than a GTX 1060 and for the most part it has generally costed more. Now it seems like nobody wants them anymore. But if you can deal with 150w, it's actually kind of become the sleeper 1080p option. A budget gaming build's best kept secret. The 8gb might even be good for 1440. Definite upgrade from your current card. No brainer for that money. New, that same cash would only land you a GTX 1050.

Good buy, I managed to flog my 580 8GB during "the boom" for over £330. Picked up a 480 4GB for £130 a couple of months back and on tuesday a GTX 1060 for the same price... seems like this IS a good time to get a deal.

I managed to get my hands on a new Asus RX580 8Gb in December for about $300, here in Argentina of all places. That prices has more than doubled now.
