The error says: You require permission from DOMAIN\user to make changes to this file.

The user is trying to copy this file to his local machine. The share has full control by a group named developers. The user in question is a member of this group.

I created a test account, added it to the developers group and I was able to access the same file.

Not sure what else to try, and what might be causing this.

Remove the group association from the users account and have the user log off. Add the group association back to the user account and have them log back in.

Test.

Double check if the user is a member of any other group with lower access level which might conflict with this shared folder/file. Edit if necessary

Test.

Are there issues transferring other files from the same folder. If not create a copy of the file. Purge all permissions and access rights from the copy.. recreate permissions from scratch and copy it over the original.

Test.

Seems security essentials wasn't liking the file for the user for some odd reason. Thanks for your suggestions.
