so then paying $600+ for a good gaming monitor can I just buy a 4k HDR10 tv like a 43 inch, what can be some of the thing you lose hooking up my pc to a tv that I cant do on a high end monitor? but I would like to use the monitor I have now as a 2nd screen can I do that if my main screen is a tv? This is the tv I'm using now https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08BTZLBVT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

TVs are a lot cheaper then most of your high end monitors I have came across before.

Rocking a TV is possible, but not always plausible. Even today with less input lag and game modes on TVs, you still deal with massive screen estates meant for couch gaming, HDMI woes and various bunch of other stuff. Besides, the Q line Samsung is probably what you would want for that, and those are not that cheap. Like you can't just put a TV on an adjustable stand most the time. Even if you have some form of exquisite stand for your TV, it's still a massive object. All in all, not a go for me. Been there, done it many times.

Well, especially the cheaper TVs don't really compare to high end pc monitors.

Before we can give you advice, you need to further specify your needs.

If you just need 4k 60Hz, you can basically use any 150$ PC Monitor.

If you want low latency, monitors get more expansive. If you want 120 or 144Hz, monitors get even more expansive. No cheap TV offers High Refresh Rate or really low latency.

Moreover, Reddit cordcutters trend has been a thing for a while now. People have moved on to streaming services. I still talk about my Vu Uno 4k Linux TV broadcast box from time to time, but its relevancy is really questionable at this point with the prices satellite marketing guys ask for them, and the advertisements you see on TV are awful. But then again, Netflix suggestions are just as garbage as TV ads. So yeah... I can't help but lol at the actual usage of a TV.

i downgraded on the new xbox and got the new s it was the only thing i could pre order at the time took what i could get, so my pc will be my 4k gaming at 120 refresh rate so in that case i will prob have to get another monitor something bigger so i can have a 2nd screen

As a guy that has used TV for a few years now, you miss things like good HDR settings, 4-4-4 is also tough on a lot of screens. I started with a 40" on my desk, but it was 1080p, and lets be honest, sucked! Then went to a 43" 4K Sony something something 800 series....great reviews as a console gamer TV. Was good image quality, but the damn thing would not turn on reliably. I then moved to a 50" 4K with much better HDR and could run 4-4-2 without issue, 4-4-4 took a bunch of time to sort out, but did get it working eventually. As I sit here now, I am looking back to a monitor after all of the random amounts of brightness and color saturations, I just want something that works. While I do have the Asus PG43UQ in my short-list when stock comes back, I also edit photos, so I am paying for that level of color correctness, HDR capability, while moving back to what I found my sweet spot to be size wise.

Lastly, do not always believe what you see for specs on the TV box, make sure you either see it working as you intend to use it, or find a review where the HDR and the like are tested.

Stick with the Quantum models if you want a good TV, others aren't really worth it.

I recently bought a 58" 4K TV for my nieces for $278.00 at Walmart. https://www.walmart.com/ip/seort/587182688 It has a Refresh Rate of 120HZ. My youngest niece wanted a gaming monitor and those things are rather costly, I told her to just try this TV. At 120 refresh rate, is there any difference? Is there some other stat to look at?

If she knew what she was talking about requesting a gaming monitor you will not have made a friend. For that price it will not have HDMI2.1 Input and if your Niece does not get an Ampere(RTX 3000) or BigNavi(RX 6000) graphics card even that wouldn't be enough since no other card can put it out. So there is no way to get actual 120Hz@4K to the screen, only by interpolation of the screen itself. 1080p@120Hz would theoretically be possible but most TVs don't offer that mode.
Input Lag will be much worse than on a gaming monitor and actual switch rates of the Pixels will also never reach 120Hz.
And that's no even taking into account that 58" does not fit a desk setup at all.

Saying all that I still massively enjoy gaming on my 55" OLED TV connected to a PC. But that one is standing in the living room in front of a sofa, I'm nearly exclusively using a gamepad and it has cost more than any "rather costly" gaming screens below 30"

Currently using a 4k tv as a monitor, loving it. I got a 120motion rate tv I would recommend getting a true 120hz tv as 60hz even with 120mr not quite as good as true 120hz, though it is definitely a step up from a regular 60hz display. Had to get a 4k hdmi cable to connect to pc but it's way bigger with more options than you get with a standard monitor, the downside is response time is slower than you can get with a monitor, but with 120mr everything is smooth with no ghosting, hd movies look fantastic.

I use an LG B9 OLED as my monitor right now.

The biggest issue you will run into in TVs is chroma 444 compatability. Many don't have it, or need a special mode to support it, as TV transmissions are typically chroma 4:2:0 and PCs output chroma 444, leading to text fringing. Research this before you buy is the usual advice I give, as no model is guranteed to be issue free without prior research.

No cheap TV offers High Refresh Rate or really low latency.

There actually are some pretty decent options for this, but you'll need to do some homework and they aren't from brands you expect. Though, they have tradeoffs vs premiums brands, but that's to be expected at their price point.

Look at some of TCL's lineup, as well as some Hisense models. Read reviews. Do your homework, really.

So there is no way to get actual 120Hz@4K to the screen,

There is. I do it daily with my Turning. It's called the Club3d CAC-1085 adapter.

Mind you, it's a $50+ piece on it's own.

Because you have one of the very few and not cheap at all screens with HDMI2.1 input. The Walmart TV does not have this so fixing the Source side does not help.

Yes, I was just pointing out you can do HDMI 2.1 from a pre-ampere or Radeon 6000 card with some adapters. It's not much help here I am aware though.

And yes, my screens cost may be part of the reason I don't have an Ampere, lol.

although the TV says it support 4K or whatever, i still prefer monitor than TV, TV maybe replace your monitor if you place it 2 metre or more but closer than that it would bring uncomfortable for your eyes

So why is it that not a single TV manufacturer offers a DP input? It really can't cost them much to add it and would make PC users jump for joy.

uncomfortable for your eyes
My eyes hurt whenever I see a monitor with only 60 refresh rate. My 4K television hurt my eyes when I first got it, then I went through the settings and changed various things and now its fine. If video games through a console look great on the television, then no reason the television can't have the same quality level with a gaming computer.

I guess you're not old enough to have used CRT monitors or TVs then? The cool Amiga kids ran interlaced...

There are TVs with DP outputs, but they're very rare. Panasonic for example had couple back when 4k first blew up. You have the new HDMI protocol now.

I have the higher end, flat version of that monitor. It's ok, got Freesync but I prefer some of my other panels over it. Have you considered Ultrawide? I bet UHD is already heavy to be ran on your 1080.
