What a hastle. For a game that is supposed to be marketed toward multiplayer it sure is hard to create a server. We've tried opening a bunch of ports, but other computers are still unable to connect over the internet. Any suggetions?

ut2004 is teh game!!!do they see your server but cant connect? do you see your server in lan settings in the game? this link was the most helpful to me when i was setting up my home box server for ut. http://wiki.unrealadmin.org/Server_Setup_(UT2004) depending on your isp and location of the client, you might find that opening the server browser list and joing a server with what you want the best. I play this game regularly and have two servers i run. feel free to join & bring your friends to either server. chicago server ut2004://64.94.35.204:5360 (pass=ch0s3n) or dallas server ut2004://67.19.157.243:7777

click either of the links and it will launch the game and take you straight into the server. HF :)

Are you setting up a net server or local? I've never had any problems with local and never tried to set up a net server.

UT 2004's LAN support works wonderfully, yet, on the other hand, its extremely difficult to host WAN games, due to having to have specific ports open on your networking equipment. Even with the ports open, I've still had trouble allowing players to connect to my games
