Valve Complete Pack Total Size

MY favorite game of all time is HL2 ofcourse its because of hl2's unique story, other mods liek GMOD. :slap:

now i want to buy this Valve Complete Pack :toast:

right now i don't have steam and HL2 but i'm asking, How large is Valve Complete Pack? suppose that you download the pack without having any source game at all.

and all source games share the same source engine file(and other same files) on your pc am i right? Its like when you already have Orange Box and bought L4D, you will not have to put another source engine on you PC? :confused:

idk the size , but not huge. I would say under 10gb but it could be close.
they do use a majority of shared files. I know half life, eps 1&2, CS, TF, as well as HL multi , DoD, etc all share resources. IDK if left for dead does, but it's not too huge either so it's all good i think.

i know looking at individual sizes won't tell you, as we said resources get shared so it doesn't download all files for episode 2 for example if you have hl2 &/or ep 1

TF2, CS source, CS:CZ, episode 1, 2, half life 2, L4D 1 +2 and generic 'source' files in my steamapps folder adds up to 20GB

this pack is going to be 30GB or so in size.

where does it get that big? i know watching them download they don't download 100% if you already have source files... and the games aren't THAT big i didn't think.

theres some examples, showing that some files are indeed 'shared' ones - but not many.

If you do get the complete pack, you dont need to download all the games at the same time you can just pick some (like 1 that contains the source engine) then gmod, l4d and l4d2 wont be a large download. The games will always be in your steam games list so you can get them any time you like...

yeah, i know that, i had steam and HL2 and gmod 9 when i was using my WXP, since i moved to W7, haven't had time to reinstall HL2 and steam

why reinstall? just copy-paste the steamapps folder.

My steam folder is 30Gig +. FYI, and that does not include L4D2.

I'd estimate it around 40gb. Thing is once you buy it, you don't have to download it all at once. Your steam account will always be there.
