• Special headphones that have haptic feed back to make you feel things like whispers.
• IPD adjustment
• Knuckle controllers
• SteamVR tracking photodiodes for lighthouse 2.0
• Some type of modular attachment for the front of the HMD
• 2x front facing cameras

I really hope that L4D3 is one of the 3 games that Valve is working on. I just hope that the price isn't crazy, but we will see. I mean I will get it either way..lol but price will predict how soon. lol There is a lot of speculation that HLVR will bundle with it. I'm hoping it's some type of orange box. I'm going to call it now as just "Orange Box 2".. lol

Apparently there has been unsubstantiated rumors floating around that the game was 90-95% done some years ago but the folks at the studios fell out about what engine they were going to use to build the game. The project stalled and the team all ended up going their separate ways

If this is true then an L4D3 is closer than you think. Turtle Rock studios are working to a L4D like game called Back 4 Blood

So, who bought one? I did not only because HLVR wasn't announced to launch with it and that my play funds are dried up atm.. lol I was hoping the Valve Index Controllers formally known as the Knuckle controllers would have been cheaper than $279usd... and the biggest reason I didn't buy them for my Vive... but this is basic economics, demand high and Volume low equals higher prices to increase profit and take some of the blow out of RND. I'm hoping by falls steam sale these will go on sale or drop in price.

Yea, if anything I will get the controllers before the HMD, but from what Norm said from tested about Index being a Lamborghini compared to the Rift S as a Camry.. lol

Yea, I can't wait to get one, but I'm wait like you guys. Plus, look at how many small revisions the Vive got in short few months. One was pretty big giving the Vive a 15% reduction.

A bit OT, but I doubt that's true. Choosing your engine is like step 1 of a big project like that, you can't do anything else but concept art until you know.

The full kit is high at $999.99 USD, but much cheaper than the Vive Pro kit which is $1399.00 and it's already been said by test that the Index is a much better VR HMD. If you have a Vive or Vive Pro already then you can buy pc at a time. Every piece of the Index kit is sold separately. I plan on doing this at some point, but I'm waiting to see what games will take advantage of the Index's full features. The HMD by it self seems to be the best value at $499USD, but the Index controllers are pretty high at $279.00. But I would buy these before buying replacement Vive wands as they are roughly the same price. The 2.0 Base stations are higher than the Vive 1.0 base stations at $149.00 USD each. YOu would need 2x base stations. I was really hoping the Index controllers would have been $130-150.. I just can't justify paying $279.00 when I can buy an Oculus Quest or Rift S kits for $399 USD each or even a Nintendo Switch. I can only hope they offer something during sales or once the supply is higher than demand causing a price drop.. but who knows.
