Benchmark Scores Cooling sucks. So no, unfortunately.
The original version was one of the few games that opened my eyes, when I was a small child and start learning about computers + video games. Seeing the original alongside games back in 03-04 was incredible as a child.
I was fairly convinced that the game won't come back with a sequel in the early 2010s.
And now we are almost at the 2020s, the sequel drops.
Crazy, to me at least.

There might have been a sequel to it long before now but the sales weren't very good. Troika was rushing the game to release before Half Life 2 so that they could be first to showcase the Source engine. Both VTMB and Half Life 2 released on the same day and Half Life 2 stole the spotlight for obvious reasons. On release VTMB was a mess. Thankfully Wesp5 stepped up and started modding and fixing the bugs and he's still working on it to this day. I have a lot of respect for Wesp5 for his dedication to the game all these years.

For me, I thoroughly enjoyed VTMB after it was fixed somewhat and I'm hoping this game turns out well.

The game wasn't too nice to play at first, I agree. And yes, HL2 stole the stage, which is totally understandable.

(un)Holy crap... this looks pretty damn good.

Seeing a LOT of really sweet announcements and teasers lately. Its almost like we're going back to early 2000's gaming concepts at large... and I'm really liking it.

I want to know if it is all linear or if there is a modicum of open world like the original.

I think anyone who played Bloodlines is excited for a sequel, but anyone less than Obsidian handling an RPG makes me concerned. I don't care for all the pre-order crap, I will reserve judgement and hold onto my money until after release.
