Note: I'm not even sure if the fan isn't *actually* at 100%.
I have had this issue across both AMD-official and Amernime Zone drivers.

Any input, suggestions, or solutions
would be much appreciated.
I just want to make sure that I'm getting the most cooling-ability possible.

Thanks!

PS: for those that are aware of my 'adventures' with this card/the MI25;
I just re-pasted it, and modified the heatsink. Great improvement!

The fan speed percentage is based off the stock blower fan so it doesn't report that properly if you're using a different fan, just pay attention to RPM. It also changes based on what bios or PPTable you use.
On mine with a GTX 480 fan 100% reports as ~80% IIRC with WX 9100 PPTable.

I had suspected this might be the case.

Was hoping it was either,
comparing to a 'set-in-VBIOS/PPT' fan RPM,
or
comparing to expectant power draw.

A bit of a late reply I know, but I have done a very similar conversion (WX9100 bios flash) with the MI-25 and the blower assembly from a WX9100 (Perfect Fit). If you add the registry mod to the mix (add KMD_IsGamingDriver to the specific GPU registry the same as you would for the Vega Frontier Edition), then you will gain full fan control. Clock speeds will still need to be set with the PPT, but the fans should work properly. I use this for a stable diffusion build and it works great.

Just create an DWORD named DisableWorkstation set to 1 in the same part of the registry and it'll enable full control over everything. ;)

I hadn't heard of that one; I have plenty of workstation cards to try this on. Thanks!

This was more helpful than it seemed.
I'd ordered an EKWB WX 9100 backplate to mod into a custom cooler mount. Already did my best to visibly verify it'll work but, your feedback confirms my research: WX 9100's PCB is all but Identical.
(I also expect the 6+8Pin powered MI25(s) I have on the way are 'WX 9100 production' cards merely missing 5x mDPs.)
