Hi. So here's my problem: yesterday I was at a my friends clinic (a doctor ) we was talking and he told me his problem.the girls he hire there (he hired mostly girls I don't know why ) are always going to the small clients toilet(approx 1,5sqm) to chat and make calls and usually do that on his behalf.

He is clear with this:no non-emergency calls at work!(he's ok with calling family or stuff in some cases but anyway ).Actually this thing is hurting his clinic productivity(late meetings, upset patients, ect) and so he asked me if I had any solution for him. I though about a cell phone signal jammer (it's mostly wifi, calls, and cellular data)the jammer need only to jam the 1.5sqm area as theres everywhere else surveillance cams.please I don't want those "it's illegal and stuff" as I checked the laws here and it's actually legal in this case.I need to technically set the system up. Thanks for all your upcoming suggestions.
PS: price isn't a concern but of course lower would be better.

What country? I ask for hardware selection purposes. Cell jammers are an unusual tech, you may have more luck with shielding materials.

Aye definitely sounds like it. Jammers are almost always hugely illegal for anyone but governments and even then it's frowned upon, to put it lightly.

It would be interesting to see the price comparison to the jamming equipment, vs. building a Faraday cage behind the drywall.

It is not illegal everywhere. Only punishable by a hefty $100K fine in US, and illegal in EU(with some exceptions).
At least that was true in 2015.

In some cases there are limitations on the effective range of such device, and in most cases it has to be registered with appropriate local authority.

There are some relatively inexpensive multiband GSM jammers:
https://www.alibaba.com/product-det...M_221107426.html?spm=a2700.7724857.0.0.3kpHQD

Not sure about the range, but I think you can downpower the device by using smaller antennas (e.g. 1dBi, or test it without antennas).

There's also this device, from Russia with love:
http://www.jammer.su/reguliruemyj-nastolnyj-blokirator-s-pjatju-antennami.html

The device works with GSM, CDMA, 2G/3G/4G, Wimax etc, and has an adjustable range. Jammer has an effective range of 20 to 40m (depending on band and tower proximity). adjustable to as low as 1m. It is currently selling for ~$350 in Russia, but I am not sure it is available anywhere else. I know for sure there are some cheaper and less reliable clones. I've seen similar devices on the local electronics flea market in various configurations(even as a modular DIY kit).

There's nothing to "set up" the smallest jammers are basically hand held and battery powered, larger units can use mains power.
Mount it central in the area you need to block and job is done. Only the legality is in question.

Just take away the darn phones. Why so complicated?

Prohibit them by lying that it interferes with medical equipment.

And it is illegal.

Live in the 19th century where kings don't talk with the poor or the scientist don't speak with young people.it depend on the person not the job.
I live in lebanon. This machines are usually used around frequently here in alot of universities, theaters and even hospitals and churchs and mosques, their use is more frequent here now after pokemon go crisis (and even then there's no laws here for the sake of information)

I though it was like a serie of parts put together. Thanks for the info.

It's actually legal here:he own the building. And this jammer won't prevent anyone who have to access the data to actually access it. It's a 1.5sqm area and actually when I contacted the security guy he said it's fine. He's busy in the family now and thus told me to hold on till he can speak to me.

There should be a radio organization, that controls and permits use of radio spectrum. No matter if it is your property or not, it is radio spectrum. These guys very often ride around in their bus and are eager to give a fines for any kind of illegal interference without their approval.

It wouldn't work as there's wifi used with laptops there.our problem is mainly productivity.taking them off by force would cause problems(thieft accusation, loses, ect) also even if it's needed we will register it legally and get authorization ect.anyway thread to close.I won't be getting anything that's gonna help me here(I'm not a criminal, and certainly not here to be treated like a 5 year old with racism ect)

If you cannot ensure some basic rules and security, what's the point even? If I would smell any jammers around me I would either sue you in the court, just for because you did it without my consent, or call special forces team for plotting some nongovernmental activity.

Radio regulations exist everywhere, and especially in Russia too, they are very strict in their military channel tidiness in big towns especially. Ukraine is a messy foxhole these days with a lot of absurd... sorry @silentbogo but that's the truth.

It has to be solved with dialogue and rules. Simple as that...

This. Jamming cellphone signals seems incredibly expensive and arduous, when you can simply say "stop using the toilet to snapchat or you're fired."

Where's the WiFi signal coming from? If it's from the doctor/clinic, then just turn it off. If it's somewhere else, remodel the bathroom to put a Faraday cage around it. No need to get too fancy and it's even precise too!

And it is illegal.

Depends. And honestly, he's under no obligation to prove anything to us if his locale matches up with a place where it's legal.

I am really concerned what locale really... It would be shame that someone could be jailed just because of our ignorance.

Software A lot.
Benchmark Scores Its fast. Enough.
Vote 2 for faraday cage, it blocks all signals if properly built. Some sheets of expanded metal over the walls and ceiling with some solder and copper wire to make sure they are all connected, run a ground wire and skim coat and texture it with drywall compound, if you were really retentive, add aluminum powder to the quickset and add a mesh over any windows and to the inside of the door.
