Very easy to mount cpu cooler for a ryzen 5800x

I currently use a dark rock slim cooler, have the dark rock pro 4 but to limited space beween the top of my corsair 4000d airflow and the cooler there is not much space for mounting the fan clips between the top of the case and the cooler. Theer fore it's not for me an easy job to mount the cooler

i therefor want a cpu cooler that is better than my dark rock slim and is very easy to mount regardless if there is 1 or 2 fans Cheaper than a dark rock 4

PBO +100hz, pbo limits of, curve optimize -12 80 c in cb and prime 95

I can get 4.6ghz on all core at 1.1875 volt, should i just manually oc and forget about pbo and curve optimizer ?

1.875v for 4.6? golden chip there
(I assume it's 1.1875, but had to be sassy)

The thing is, no cooler is going to keep a 5800x cold on stock or PBO settings because it just keeps boosting until it hits 80C - especially single threaded.

Dark rock slim should give perfectly fine temps at low noise levels, whats the problem with it?

Please tell me that 1.875V is you mistyping, as that's LN2 volts only, not daily under air levels of safe voltage. But I agree with Mussels, get the dark rock slim. It has been more than enough to keep my 3700x cool in a case with worse airflow than yours

I just wanna have a little lower temps, at normalt temps (today it's hot) i get 65c or a little more when gaming, thats why i atm have pbo at + 100 mhz instead of + 200

This is a tough one tbh. Most good coolers screw onto hardware which needs the front fan off the tower to gain access to said screw.

I hate to say it, as it may not be your jam, but this is where a 240mm or fat 120mm aio comes into play IMHO.

I will go look at some things and see if there is a cooler I am forgetting about.

It's when theres 2 fans, 1 fan is often okay to mount on a small to medium size tower, cooler

Not entirely true, most videos, how to mount it, is doing it WRONG

LEAVE the fans on when screwing it on to the cpu

How to do it

How NOT to do it

Problem with the fuma 2, it lacks the ultimate performance do to 800 rpm fan the rev b from i think 2022, might be better but you can't get it anywhere

Here is the rev b https://www.scytheus.com/fuma2-rev-b

Here in this video you can se both

The Scythe Ninja 5 is also possible to mount with the fans on , you don't need to mount the fans when the cooler is in the case

Again space for the screwdriver to tighten the cooler with the fans on

Solution ?

my cooler is only a 120mm cooler it could also be a 140mm cooler with 1 fan

im asking what to get, if i missed a cooler and what is easy to mount meaning most coolers are easy to mount, it's often when you have to mount 2 fans it can be a challenge, when having the gpu mounted and beacuse of the limited space between the top of the case and the cooler.

You are a fringe use case IMHO. Most people pull the board out and put the cooler on, then assemble as one part. Wire fan clips on big coolers have always been an issue, but nothing I couldn't solve with a long pair of needle nosed pliers and a straight screwdriver.

The thing is, a look at crazyeyes reviews here would show you if you options are better, and if fitment is your only real concern, toss a better fan on this scythe coolers and call it a day.

I have 4000D airflow and used to have dark rock slim, it's a bit tight atraching fans, but doable. I changed to D15, it's a bit better and a bit easier to attach fans to.

Are you serious? Look at your post above my reply where you show coolers with side mounting screws so the fans can be on the cooler before its installed. This isn't your first day here, please don't play like it is.

im asking since i don't know what to consider buying, scythe can be mounted with the fans on but i don't know which is better

The new fuma 2 rev b or the ninja 5 since, i do have slim scythe 1800 rpm fans but they are slim so i don't know if i can use the standard clips

I also don't know if theres any other cooler as easy to mount, it's for shure a little easier to mount 1 fan instead of 2 when having to do it in the case

Easy to mount coolers: Noctua

But expensive and they don't make a redux of the NH-U14S and even the NH-D15S is a little expensive

Why not Arctic esport duo 34? Easy to mount, compact, performs a bit better than dark rock slim and is cheap?

I currently use a dark rock slim cooler, have the dark rock pro 4 but to limited space beween the top of my corsair 4000d airflow and the cooler there is not much space for mounting the fan clips between the top of the case and the cooler. Theer fore it's not for me an easy job to mount the cooler

Have you actually tried mounting the fans on a large cooler and run into trouble?......or are you just speculating?

I've had the worst of the worst before, trying to mount a Dark Rock Pro 4 on the H97N-WIFI and B450I Aorus Pro Wifi in the TJ08. TJ08 already not much space, case also has a CPU cooler support that interferes, ITX board with even higher socket placement makes it even harder, and Be Quiet's fan clips are horrible. It still worked just fine - I doubt any cooler you pick in the 4000D on an ATX board can get more difficult than that.

What's stopping you from just getting a Fuma 2? It doesn't matter if it's "just a 120mm", it's still a good performer. U14S-class coolers are not as impressive as you think they are, as single towers.

It's a challenge to mount it since you can't do it from the top, you have to do it from the side (middle fan), i use a gpu bracket to avoid my gpu beeing saggy at the end, so that has to come of an be able to mount it again (i don't have anything extra to adhesive to use under the bracket)

I don't think you can mount it on one side and use both hands for the difficult top + i can't se if it's in the bottom hole on the fan close to the gpu and on the other side

If one side is slightly offset it's also a little difficult to adjust it up or down to to limited space

I don't know if the ninja 5 is better and how both perform with the same fans, they are the samme model but not the same max rpm, in turns of max cooling capacity when the fans have to run at max rpm on a hot sommer day

I just stuffed a Thermal Right ARO-14G with the full Size Fan into a Zalman Z1 Neo this past Christmas. The window relief just gave enough clearance lol. That wasn't that hard of a cooler to install either.

Are you serious? Look at your post above my reply where you show coolers with side mounting screws so the fans can be on the cooler before its installed. This isn't your first day here, please don't play like it is.
User acts like a noob to be an irritant, user should just use AMD Wraith cooler.

Trying to figure what your issue or even if you have one, as for tight spaces it's possible with the standard D15 as it comes super close tot he v card but this would all so depend ont he spacing of the CPU socket and the PCIe socket.

I'm not sure if you're serious at this point - this is just a google search away and has the exact comparison

It's a huge single tower. They make dual towers instead of giant single towers for a reason, because they're better

If you want big coolers, then you're going to have to get in line like everyone else. Mount the cooler then the GPU if it's offset south like the D15, or mount the cooler then put the board in the case if it's offset north like D15S

I just wanna have a little lower temps, at normalt temps (today it's hot) i get 65c or a little more when gaming, thats why i atm have pbo at + 100 mhz instead of + 200
65C is not hot for a 5800x.
They arent intel. The temperatures are measured differently, you just cant compare it that way.

If its under 80C, you're perfectly fine.

You wont get the lower temps you're looking for, even on custom water with a lapped CPU mine dont get that low with PBO and boosting on.
