The shimmering is caused by high frequency detail or simple aliasing, that's normal. Nothing you can do about that other than to enable higher quality anti-aliasing.

Here the game running on max settings on my PC. Same behaviour.

So to sum it up, nothing is out of place.

Well can you go to same spot in the map as mine and confirm? Textures shimmer too much in my game to label it as a normal behavior. Lines on the road dance with light and your screenshot looks much better than my game. Thanks for the help though

Tell nvidia and game devs about it, you are on a 1050 so don't expect miracles.

You have done what we would of suggested, unsure if there is some magical texture patch out there but you may try what I suggested above.

I've posted these videos on an nvidia thread. I understand my gpu is cheap but my game looks like its running on xbox360. I linked a video of a guy who tested his 1050 ti with same settings as mine. Here it is
His game looks way better than mine. I wouldn't post here if I I did not have a problem but youtube compresses these videos so much that people would think I'm nitpicking. My game looks 10x worse than in the video.
Anyways, thanks for trying to help.

Nothing is wrong here.

Rendering is not perfect, and settings have a big impact on the quality of it, but even ultra is no guarantee.

As for 'no AA' on Rocket League (which I can see) - it needs to be activated and it currently isn't, OR there is a sharpening pass over an AA pass that causes its own jaggies.

For rocket league, I have set the highest quality option available which is MLAA. There is a very minor difference between mlaa and anti aliasing set to off.
I understand it is not perfect but gta 5 hurts my eyes when there are thin objects like fences. If you have gta 5, you can go to that spot in my video on map and keep only fxaa on. See the difference between your game and mine.

If you have in game detail settings, restore the Nvidia control panel to default and increase the settings in the game.

also remember one thing that person's display is most likely different from yours so details will look better.

Best thing for you is to stay in touch with Nvidia and the game manufacturer

This ^^^ Unless you know his display and/or the resolutions I don't think you can be definite that it is exclusively a problem with your GPU, at the end of the day screens, their resolution and quality can be as much of a difference as the same models differing performance, even then you have other factors such as, is your GPU running at stock, was his? or was it overclocked.

I ddu'd my driver and it did not help. Reinstalled windows it remained the same.
Even after doing all this, I reset my nvcp settings to default both for global and game specific .exe. Again did not work.

My resolution is set to 1080p both in windows and in-game.

I'm not sure if my GPU is the problem because there are other people with same problems as mine and for them swapping gpus did not help. For some people switching to ryzen solved this which means my problem could be related to CPU/Mobo.
And there are at least two people who I have talked to for whom changing entire rig did not solve this. Now you'd think that I'm retarded and the problem is in my head as happens in every thread related to this issue but I can't blame you. This is ridiculous but I didn't record these videos to show my problem just to piss people off. Games have become very annoying to play and there is no fix. I'm really exhausted with this. I've read through so many forum posts about this that it hurts to even think about this.

I've a zotac 1050 ti oc edition. It is factory overcolcked and I did not do any tinkering.

I very much appreciate y'all replying here to help me and for that thank-you.

I suggest increasing the ingame detail settings.

I do recall R9 280-Xs and 7979/50s having shimmering. I believe it was driver related.

Contact Zotac, nvidia and game makers and report it.

1 solution, you could go with AMD for the gpu.

Try turning off in game anisotropic filtering, and force it through the Driver panel.

Then in game AF was the cause I found, and forcing it through driver actually looks better in every game I think.
