Very strange memory behaviou! Is it dying?

My system crashed when I was playing a game. I thought it was a windows problem. After some time trying to debug it I tested the ram using memtest86 (most recent version) and it accused some errors.

I removed the sticks and tested with just one stick, no problems were shown. I tested the other stick and no problems again. I tested with both stick and new memtest86 uses all processor core, and it shown some errors.
I tried raise the DDR4 voltage from 1,31 to 1,41 and had no more errors. The windows booted and everything seems ok.
The very strange part is that I used this pc for more than 3 years with no problems. Suddenly I got theses problems but if a raise the memory voltage it works correctly.

Is there some king of memory deterioration possible with DDR4? Did you already see some thing like that? It means these memory sticks are going to dye soon or maybe they will continue working for long time?

Sorry.
I'm using a 16Gb DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX code cmk16gx4m2b3000c15
The mobo is a MSI Z170A Pcmate with a Core i5 6600k and a AMD Rx5700 and Windows 10.

It is possible for these components to degrade and require higher voltage to maintain the same performance

Did you already saw some literature about this, joemama?
I had never had any problem with this ram but this processor was much prone to instability sometime ago. Im running it at 3.9Ghz fixed and 1.4Vcore. That's the way it seems stable and provides some good performance. This processor is not really stable if I use any variable voltage setting.

Another details I just remembered. My mobo was not set to do memory training. I had no problems with anyway. Now I set the memory training on just in case.

I'm wondering if it could be the memory controller on the CPU as you say the processor has been running into instability's?

Most memory modules have lifetime warranty so its rare that it would need more voltage to run at its default speed.

Did your RAM run hot? Because it can easily degrade when overheating. I had it happen in my build some time ago.
RAM is shouldn't be more than ~50°C (=hot, but you can hold it) when being used or it will fail long-term.
