I'm looking to desk mount two 16x9 32" monitors vertically, so I bought this. Unfortunately, the highest and lowest settings for the arms aren't high and low enough for the monitors to clear. I chose that one for its weight rating of 9kg per monitor, as I'm running a PD3200U at 8.5KG and C32HG70 at 8kg. If I can avoid the hassle of shipping the mount back, I'd like to, but I'm open to recommendations including a replacement mount.

I've considered a pair of VIVO Height Adjustable VESA Brackets, to raise the top monitor and lower the bottom one … but my monitors fall outside the bracket's weight rating. Not that I trust those ratings anyway, but anyway, suggestions? Thanks TPU!

This is a no brainer to me. You should send it back and get a refund. Since it says it fits "most" 32 inch screens but does not list them, I don't see where they can complain. The problem seems to be there just aren't any desk type stands designed to support monitors that large in a vertical configuration. Most support 27 inch monitors. I found a few that say 30 inch - unless you are willing to spend a lot more money: https://www.amazon.com/AMR2S32V-Monitor-Vertical-Stand-Mount/dp/B00YUVJ4IE

You may need to consider two separate wall mounts instead.

Your only other option that I see if you want to keep that stand is different monitors.

How far off is the dual monitor stand now? The pictures for vertical setup are not very clear for me. It seems the stand was really designed for horizontal setups.

Do you really need two of the adjustable mount adapters? That adapter provides ±3.25 inches "up" adjustment. If you put the heavier monitor on the bottom, and the lighter Samsung on top using the adapter, are you saying the added 3.25 inches of clearance is still not enough?

I note 8kg (without stand) is 17.637lbs. The rated limit of the adapter is 17.6lbs. That's pretty close but I suspect there is some wiggle room in there that will allow you to use the adapter on the lighter Samsung. If you desk is very sturdy so the monitors would not wobble with heavy footfalls or if the desk is bumped, I personally would go for.

I just wouldn't let those twins(?) swing from it! ;)

Haha yep, hopefully I've got a year or so before the twins start wrecking the joint.

Since those brackets have the monitor mount in the middle, I'm assuming I'll only be able to use half of the 3.25" range each provides. In that case one definitely won't be enough—maybe two won't even be, haven't measured yet. Decided to post before going any further in case others know of an obvious solution—I just haven't dealt with VESA mounting solutions before.

My hope was to put the Samsung on bottom, but I guess that's not a big deal. Actually, the AMR2S32V you linked looks like the best solution for me. I'm going to double check all the specs on it first but will probably go that route or similar. Thanks Bill!

Since you have some time for more research, something else you might consider is a floor stand to sit behind your desk. Then there is a wide variety of pole mounts to position your monitors in front of you where you want them. Your desk will have to sit out a bit from the wall, but at the same time, a floor stand will free up some desk space.

A floor stand might just be perfect for me. My desk already sits away from the wall for acoustic reasons. Will dig some more on that. And I'm returning the desk mount I got. Thank you!

…although ouch, pricey! Yet if that's what it takes…

Yeah, but it is not like it will ever wear out - as long as you "invest" in a good quality, sturdy floor stand from the start. And I doubt the VESA standard will be changing anytime soon either so it is not like it will ever become obsolete and superseded by some new mounting standard. Plus, a good floor stand is flexible and expandable so in the future, you can add two more pole mounts to support 4 monitors should the need (or desire) arises. Spending more now may save you money in the long run.

I think a floor stand is your best bet. And if worried about two little monkeys ;) climbing the pole, a couple of heavy sandbags weighing down the base should take care of that without being too unsightly. In fact, the bags can be stuffed in decorative pillow cases.

Haha the little monkeys did cross my mind, as did the thought that great, I'm basically getting them their first stripper pole. A struggle for a different day haha. Buy quality, buy once looks like the way to go in this case, even if it means holding off a little bit. Meanwhile, the BenQ on a raised platform with the Samsung below and propped up against said platform looks janky but works. Fortunately I'm working with an unsophisticated but overbuilt desk (I had a lot of 2x6's lying around)…

Thanks again Bill!
