I have MSI Afterburner and driver 306.97 but tried previous ones.
To save power bills, I will underclock video card to 408/406 from the original 810/533 if not gaming or watching video. The browser or something else makes it kick to full clock almost the whole time even after disabling HWA.

Driver crashes (stopped responding & recovered) right after applying the underclock and it's fine after that. This makes the browser Opera/Chrome to crash, is there a way to avoid this?

Or if there's a way to force card to stay in 2D mode even if there's HWA would be welcomed too.
